Consultant Dermatologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospitals Birmingham, UK

Born in Birmingham, studied Medicine at Edinburgh University. Trained in Dermatology in both Edinburgh and Newcastle Upon Tyne. In 2000, I spent a 3 month period of training in vulval disease with Sallie Neill. Then continued to develop my interest, setting up a vulval service as a Consultant in Sunderland Royal Hospital and at the Birmingham Skin Centre, seeing both children and adults. 
Since moving to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEHB) in 2015 I have set up a dedicated paediatric specialist vulval clinic at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and continue an adult vulval clinic at QEHB.
I actively participates in the quarterly regional vulval meetings in the West Midlands to discuss difficult or interesting cases.

Vulval disease, skin cancer and psoriasis 

Research interests: 

Member of the UK Dermatology Trials Network, the West Midland Vulval Neoplasia Study Group and Chair of the Dermatology Research Facilitation Group at QEHB


Member of the BSSVD and ECSVD  and and hosted the 10th Congress of the ECSVD in Birmingham in September 2014. 

Currently West Midlands representative for the Clinical Services Unit of the British Association of Dermatologists.
